4000 km on the meter and as many insects squatted on the windshield. Slightly fewer boxes in our living room, but still plenty to limit movement to the basics. Too many goodies to fit the small kitchen, and the connections to the washing machine don't match the outlets. Funny how enormously depressing the process of moving house is, even if it's to a place where you really wanted to get to.

On a positive note, the van came back without any technical or morphological trouble (one encounter with a fence did not leave any marks), we supported the oil future-traders by consuming vast amounts of diesel (probably double the dosage on the heavy-loaded way back compared to the way south), we had a nice cabin with a view on the ferry to Turku followed by a lovely breakfast at J's house, M got the coolest bicycle helmet as a souvenir to Copenhagen, and apparently political pressure against the disbanding of the institute where I work at is growing, which is a good way to arrive back at work.
Above all, I can't wait to start cycling through Helsinki!
